The 2015 Pac-12 Player of the Year has been hard at work getting to this goal and it may pay off sooner rather than later. The Pacers are a team that may have room for Young on the roster. It is expceted that current Pacer Roy Hibbert will opt out of his contract

according to SB Nation

. To cover, the Pacers drafted Myles Turner from Texas in the first round, but that may leave an open spot on the roster for someone like Young.

Larry Bird did not expect Young to be on the board at that point in the second round and spoke highly of the former Oregon Duck, “He’d be a small two guard. He’s a shooter, he’s a scorer, he’s an attacker. It’s fun to watch him play. He played very well when he was here (for a pre-draft workout), he played well at Chicago and he had a great year at Oregon. I’m looking forward to seeing how he competes against the big boys.”

In his Senior season he was one of the most prolific scorers in the Pac-12 putting a statement on the NCAA Tournament in a loss to Wisconsin scoring thirty points in a loss to the Badgers. Young ended the season as the ninth highest scorer in the country with nin-hundred forty five points his Senior Season with the Oregon Ducks.
