Lineback Kiko Alonso has returned to practice with the Philadelphia Eagles

according to ESPN

and is set to make his debut this weekend against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, at least that is the plan. Alonoso suffered a concussion in practice a few weeks back and is excited to see the field in a Philadelphia uniform.

"That’s why I was out so long. It was a little scary, just in the sense that it was kind of lingering.Kiko Alonso on the length of his recovery from a concussion (to ESPN)"

The former Oregon Ducks Linebacker was traded from the Buffalo Bills in the offseason that saw Running Back LeSean McCoy traded to Buffalo. Alonso missed two weeks of practice but in his first day of action back on the field saw an interception fall into his hands.

Philadelphia Eagles Rookie Linebacker Jordan Hicks, along with Najee Goode are in the mix with  Alonso for the position. Emmanuel Acho was released earlier today due to a thumb injury. With the move I would expect Kiko Alonso to see the field a lot this upcoming season, starting with Green Bay this weekend.

There is not a national television broadcast for the game this week. The Eagles and Packers meet on Saturday night at 5pm Pacific time.
