Scott Frost Leaving Oregon Ducks For UCF Head Coaching Job

Scott Frost has led some of the most successful Offensive players and schemes in the history of the Oregon Ducks over the last three seasons. According to reports, he is leaving the Oregon Ducks Football Program to become Head Coach at the University of Central Florida.

When you are a successful coach in College Football, your utimate goal is to become a Head Coach and to always move forward in your career and not stay in any one place for too long. Oregon Ducks Offensive Coordinator Scott Frost has been with the team since 2009 working with Wide Receivers until he took over at the Offensive play caller in 2013. In his three seasons at the helm, two with Quarterback Marcus Mariota the Oregon Ducks have seen a ton of success. Even with one season, Transfer Quarterback Vernon Adams has turned into one of the top Quarterbacks in the Pac-12 Conference and the country.

Several media reports say Frost is on the move. One report says he is headed to Syracuse. CBS Sports is reporting he is heading to South Florida and the University of Central Florida to replace the retiring George O’Leary. Frost has football in his blood and this move should not be too surprising. Scott Frost played at Nebraska and led them to a 24-2 record, as well as a National Title. He took a shot as a Defensive Coordinator before coming to Oregon and leading record breaking Offenses that led to Pac-12 Championships and a trip to the National Title.

At the moment, Frost to UCF makes sense. In a Conference where someone needs to take the next step in the evolution of Offense, he is a good hire who within a few years will have a solid contender for the AAC. The introductory Press Conference is slated for 6am Pacific Time on Wednesday morning. Scott Frost becomes the 10th Head Coach in the History of UCF Football.
