Long Beach State visits the Oregon Ducks on Friday night before taking on Arizona and Duke to close out 2015. Oregon is coming off a road loss at Boise State and will look to keep their home winning streak alive.

The Oregon Ducks are clicking on both sides of the ball entering the game against Long Beach State, their second Big West opponent this week before hitting the road again to face Alabama. Last time out, Dana Altman saw Senior Elgin Cook have his best game of the year with 26 points. Overall Oregon had five players in double figures and were balanced on both sides of the ball.

  • Some additional highlights vs UC Irvine(from Monday night)
  • Chris Boucher posted a double double with 11 points, 13 rebounds to go with 4 blocks
  • The Oregon Defense had 12 steals on the night and forced 22 turnovers
  • Tyler Dorsey returned to the lineup and shot 5 for 9 for 12 points following an injury scare from last week vs UNLV.

Long Beach State has lost two of their last three games, including to fellow Pac-12 team UCLA. The road does not get easier following the visit to Matthew Knight Arena. The 49ers will continue the road trip visiting 13th ranked Arizona and 7th ranked Duke. Friday night could be a good statement game for the Big West, but the Oregon Ducks have gotten stronger over the last week with the return of Jordan Bell to the lineup. Chris Boucher has shown he can handle the load, but the addition of Bell will make the Ducks Rim Defense that much better.

Nick Faust leads Long Beach State with just over 16 points per game. A.J. Spencer is averaging 10 points per game but is hitting over 55 percent from the field. Spencer is also hitting over 51 percent from beyond the arc and will bear watching on Friday night. The 49ers also average 75 points per game, with the Oregon Ducks slightly higher at 76 per game this season. The Oregon Ducks also have yet to lose a game at home this season and are 7-0 at Matthew Knight Arena.
