The Oregon Softball Team, ranked 3rd in the Nation and the 5th overall seed for the NCAA Tournament cleaned house with the annual Pac-12 Awards.

The Oregon Ducks Softball team begins the Road To Omaha on Friday night against Fordham. On Wednesday, the Pac-12 announced the Annual awards for the Conference and the Oregon Ducks were well represented.

Starting Pitcher Cheridan Hawkins was named Pitcher of the Year for the third year in a row, the first time that has ever hapened. She leads the team with 21 wins on the season and was 12-1 in Pac-12 play with a 1.44 ERA according to GoDucks.com

Starting Pitcher Megan Kleist was named Co-Freshman of the Year. She is 16-5 with a 2.56 ERA.

Defensive Player of the Year went to Catcher Janelle Lindvall who has been big at the plate who threw out five base stealers on the year and has done her job helping to lead the best Pitching Staff in the Conference in 2016.

Oregon Ducks Head Coach Mike White was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year for the third time in his now seventh season with Oregon.

The Oregon Ducks begin the NCAA Tournament as a 5 seed and will face Fordham on Friday night at Jane Sanders Stadium. First pitch is set for 8:30pm Pacific Time. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
