FINAL: Oregon Defeats UC Davis, Ducks Score 7 Touchdowns

Preview

After a busy Spring, Summer and Fall Camp with they key players participating across the board, the 2016 Oregon Ducks Football Season starts today. Last season left a bad taste with a 9-4 start and a collapse in the Alamo Bowl against TCU that has been forgotten for the most part. The problems of 2015 have been addressed.

A new Defensive Coordinator was hired in Brady Hoke, who brings a shift from the 3-4 to the 4-3. Expect to see a ton of Defensive talent on the field on Saturday afternoon, including quite a few Freshman seeing action for the first time in an Oregon uniform. Linebacker will be an area to watch with Troy Dye earning the start against UC Davis.

The Oregon Ducks Offense also has a new face with Dakota Prukop taking over from Vernon Adams last season. The Montana State Transfer brings a similar arm, but also has the feet that can turn him into more of a dual threat. Prukop faced UC Davis two years ago and had a big performance against the Aggies, one he could repeat on Saturday. The amount of weapons he has at his disposal is pretty deep.

Six Wide Receivers are led by a healthy Dwayne Stanford. Devon Allen is back in the fold following his Summer of Track and Field that saw him become the 5th best in the 110 Meter Hurdles in the World. Oregon will see a full season with Darren Carrington following a partial season in 2015 from a suspension.

The Offensive Line will be young, but should be ready to go. Three Freshman will start the season on the O-Line to protect Quarterback Dakota Prukop and have some time to gel before the team gets into the meat of the 2016 schedule.

Autzen Zoo will have Live Coverage of Oregon vs UC Davis starting at 1pm. Kickoff is set for 2pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Network.
