Former Oregon Ducks Quarterback Vernon Adams is speaking up for his former team and their early season performance.

Through the first three gamest his season, the Oregon Ducks have gone 2-1 with no real sense of identity on either Offense or Defense. On Wednesday, Vernon Adams, Jr took to Twitter to share his thoughts on his former team and their early season issues. His comments were simple and to simply trust in the process and in Head Coach Mark Helfrich.

For a team a few years removed from a game in the National Championship to install a new Defensive Scheme and install a near entire Freshman Offensive Line and expect to still blow out very opponent is a little far fetched, but when you lose by four points against Nebraska and seem to have the inability to do simple math it becomes a nightmare.

Oregon Quarterback Dakota Prukop has his arm the majority of the season so far, but also showed off some footwork against Nebraska. The 2-1 start, could have been a 3-0 start if a few things went right. Adams makes a good point in saying to simply trust the Quarterback and who ‘he is, not who his isn’t.

Last season, Adams made an impression leading the team to a 9-4 record with 2600 yards passing and 26 touchdowns.

As the season is progressing, so are all the parts of the Offense and Defense. The injuries have not helped, but the next man up philosophy has always been the mantra. The team will begin Pac-12 play this weekend.
