Oregon Football is having an identity problem in 2016. Defensively they are being outplayed by other teams as the Ducks Install the new 4-3 Scheme and players gain experience and learn on the job. Through six games this season the team is 2-4 and the Defense is worse then they have been in the last five seasons after giving up 70 points last weekend against Washington.

The Oregon Offense has playmakers, and a new Starting Quarterback Justin Herbert who has shown promise. To this point the has gotten by since Marcus Mariota with several one-year transfers starting with Vernon Adams, Jr last year. This season it was Montana State Transfer Dakota Prukop who started the season 2-3 before Herbert was brought in. Now, word that Oregon may be desperate enough to look away from growing talent after this season to yet another Transfer Signal Caller.

Quarterback Blake Barnett began the season as Starter for Alabama before being benched and transferring before September was out. He is now enrolled at Palomar Junior College in California after finding a transfer loophole. He is free to talk with any school wanting his services and the Oregon Ducks have already contacted his former Coach Jeff Steinberg concerning the Alabama transfer according to 247 Sports.

Oregon does not need another Transfer Quarterback. The Ducks would be best to stay the course with Herbert. The Transfer rule states that Barnett will not be eligible to play in a game till one year past his transfer date which will be September 30th 2017 – roughly one month into the 2017 season.
