Oregon is primed for another NCAA Tournament run in 2016. Preseason polls are beginning to come out and on Thursday the first Coaches Poll was released with Dana Altman’s team ranked at number 5 to start the regular season. The Ducks are the highest ranked Pac-12 Conference team in the poll to start the 2016 season.

Oregon has experience and plenty of new talent to make a run for the Pac-12 this season. Tyler Dorsey was recently named to the Jerry West Award Watch List for the best shooters in the Nation. Dillon Brooks appears closer to return as the team has started practice and he is not wearing a boot on the foot he had surgery on in the offseason.

Other Pac-12 teams in the Preseason Coaches Poll include the Arizona Wildcats just outside the Top Ten at eleven, and UCLA at number twenty. USC is just outside the Top 25 making the ‘others receiving votes’ section. There are no real surprises at the top.

Duke is slated as the number one team in the country to start the season followed by Kansas, Villanova, and Kentucky.
