The Oregon Ducks seem to have found a young talent at Quarterback in Justin Herbert, but they will host a Transfer QB on November 12.

Former Alabama Signal Caller Blake Barnett started the season on the Crimson Tide Roster, but decided to transfer away from Nick Saban just a few weeks into the season. Before committing to Alabama, the Oregon Ducks were on his radar – he even came to Eugene for a visit. He will be back again on November 12th to see Oregon take on Stanford according to 247Sports.

With the Oregon Ducks and their history with Transfer Quarterbacks the last few seasons, the team appears to have found an answer in Freshman Quarterback Justin Herbert. He is also in line to be the Oregon Starter at the position for the next three years. After two solid games, it appears that the Oregon Coaching Staff may not have all their eggs in the ‘Herbert Basket’.

Why would you invite a Transfer Quarterback to Eugene on a visit if he is going to be the Backup? It makes no sense to me. Barnett has several schools that have expressed interest including Cal, Washington State and Michigan State.

Barnett played in one game at Alabama this season and has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
