Oregon Football Recruiting: RB Cyrus Habibi-Likio Sets Decision Date

3-Star Running Back Recruit Cyrus Habibi-Lukio has announced a decision date and it could be a good Christmas for the Oregon Ducks.

While the Oregon Ducks didn’t land a Running Back Recruit in 2016 going with Royce Freeman, Kani Benoit and Tony Brooks-James with success, next year new talent may need to step onto the field.

Freeman is in his Junior Year and it is not known if he will return in 2017 or take a stab at the National Football League. Oregon already has a shifty quick commit in C.J. Verdell and may also have a bigger back as a compliment with Cyrus Habibi-Likio. He has set a decision date that coincides with his birthday and will announce on December 24th, Christmas Eve according to the Oregonian.

According to 247Sports, Habibi-Likio is between two Pac-12 schools in Oregon and Washington State. He visited the Oregon Ducks on November 12th against Stanford. The Running Backs Unit has been one of the strongest on the team in 2016 but questions loom after the Civil War.

Entering 2017 the Oregon Ducks will likely have Brooks-James, Taj Griffin and Verdell if Freeman makes the decision to turn professional.
