Former Oregon Duck Jeremiah Johnson Signs Extension With BC Lions

Former Oregon Ducks Running Back Jeremiah Johnson signed an extension with the BC Lions on Friday.

Jeremiah Johnson had a career year for the Oregon Ducks in 2008 leading the team to the Holiday Bowl. He has NFL experience with several teams, but injuries kept him off the field. He was cut from three NFL Teams early in his Professional career, but was able to see the field with the Denver Broncos before turning his attention North of the Border.

Jeremiah Johnson found success in the CFL with Toronto before moving onto Toronto and then the BC Lions where in 2016 he had 809 yards and 7 touchdowns in 11 Starts and was Healthy. He was rewarded on Friday.

According to TSN Johnson signed a two-year extension with the BC Lions and is excited to continue the journey, “”I’m thrilled to be part of this team moving forward. We have a very good opportunity to achieve great things with the team we’re putting together in 2017.”

He was scheduled to become a Free Agent in February, but now has a home with the BC Lions through the 2018 season.
