The Oregon Football program hired Jim Leavitt as Defensive Coordinator last week and Tuesday he needed his Defensive Driving skills to get to Eugene.

Willie Taggart made his first signature hire. He brought in a name – Jim Leavitt has turned around the Colorado Buffaloes on the field in the last few seasons. He is now on his way to Eugene and is trying not to turn himself around on the highways that head through to the University of Oregon.

Last week, Eugene and Springfield were in a cold pattern with icy conditions that took out trees and made traveling hazardous. In some of the higher elevations, road conditions are still pretty bad.

Aside from what appears to be a new love for Pepsi Products(possibly tongue in cheek) the new Oregon Football Defensive Coordinator is anxious to get started, but needs to get to town safely with some Defensive Driving tactics of his own. With his appearances on Twitter, he is already endearing himself to the Oregon Football faithful, who appear to be enjoying the interaction.

Leavitt is likely used to this kind of weather being in Boulder and with Colorado. Be safe in your travels coach. National signing day is still over a month away and we can all hope it won’t take that long to get here.
