Athlon Sports: Oregon Football Among College Sports Best Twitter Accounts
In the world of Twitter, Oregon Football maintains relevance for their fans on Social Media.
When it comes to following accounts on Twitter, there are some that come to mind in the world of College Football. For those that follow Oregon Athletics, @WintheDay is at the top of the list – also sites like @AddictedToQuack, Duck Sports News and of course @Autzen_Zoo are available for everything Oregon Ducks.
Athlon Sports recently released their look at the Top College Football Twitter accounts, and despite a 4-8 season, the Oregon Ducks still rank highly. @WinTheDay came in 2nd place behind Ohio State.

The reason is part brand recognition – with uniform releases for every sport before they compete. The top get is of course football. Other sports have gotten into the act. Men’s and Women’s Basketball also release apparel details on their respective sites and as a bonus, who doesn’t love following The Oregon Duck.
One other Pac-12 school is in the Top 10. Utah comes in at number 5.
Brand recognition and innovation on Twitter have kept Oregon Athletics near the top of the Social Media world despite a 4-8 season on the football field. Having staff member on Twitter doesn’t hurt either. New Head Coach Willie Taggart has a Twitter account and it is gaining new followers every day.
