Oregon Ducks Represented On USA Softball National Team

The 2017 USA Women’s National Softball team has been announced and three former Oregon Ducks will see the field this year.

Jessica Moore was as fierce a competitor as they came when she was an Oregon Duck and she will be a Starting Pitcher in 2017 for the US National Team. She will be joined by another Oregon Alum in Janie Takeda. One member of the current Oregon Ducks roster, Jenna Lilley will also compete. The National Team consists of players from around the country, but 11 have ties either past or present to the Pac-12 Conference. The USA Softball Junior Team has also been announced.

The Oregon Ducks begin the 2017 season in less than a month in the Kajikawa Classic on February 3rd against Virginia. It is the first of four road tournaments that the Oregon Softball team will take part in before opening the Home Slate at Jane Sanders Stadium on March 10th opening the Oregon Classic and facing Idaho State, Hofstra and University of the Pacific. The ten game homestand will also see games against Portland State and Cal.

The US Women’s National Team will train in June and compete in July in the World Cup of Softball XII.
