The Oregon Ducks managed a great game, but in the end were on the wrong end of the scoreboard vs Stanford.

Sabrina Ionescu returned to the Oregon Women’s Basketball lineup and shot just 4 for 18. She managed 14 points against the Cardinal and helped keep Oregon within single digits through the majority of the first three-quarters on Friday night. Molly McGuire led the Ducks shooting 7 for 15 with 11 rebounds and 16 points picking up the double-double.

Despite 11 turnovers and winning the turnover battle, Oregon showed through the first 30 minutes that they could play with the Cardinal, but Stanford had too much firepower and experience to overtake a young Oregon squad in the end.

Maite Cazorla may still be feeling the effects of a foot injury. She was on the floor for 20 minutes and went 0 for 4. Lexi Bando was out-defensed by Stanford and didn’t attempt a single shot from beyond the arc for the game.

The road trip for the Oregon Ducks will continue for the next three games. The team is still seeking their first Pac-12 win of the year and the losing streak has hit three straight games with losses to the Washington schools at home and Stanford on the road.
