Oregon Track and Field: Ducks Dominate East-West Challenge
It was a big weekend for Oregon Track and Field and both the Men and Women showed their experience with 14 Event Wins Setting and Breaking Records.
The Armory Track and Field Center turned into Hayward Field East as the Oregon Ducks Women made an impression and the big names for Oregon stepped up. Deajah Stevens ran in the 200 meters for the first time since her run in the Olympics in Rio. She set a new facility record running in 22.65 seconds. Hannah Cunliffe returning from a late season injury last season finished second.
Arianna Washington, in her second year with the Ducks came in 4th in the 200 Meters. In the 800 Meters Raeyvn Rogers set the high mark in the NCAA This Season in just over two minutes at 2:01.75. The Weekend for Oregon was just getting started.
The Oregon Ducks Women’s team will have student-athletes in both the Triple Jump and Long Jump in 2017. Transfer ChaQuinn Cooke set a new PR in the Triple Jump and Freshman Rhesa Foster hit a Personal Record in the Long Jump to start her career as an Oregon Duck.
The Oregon Men’s Team also had a big weekend. Edward Cheserek continued his dominance. He won his first 3000-meter race of 2017, with the 2nd best mark in the NCAA. In the 200 Meters Senior Marcus Chambers set a new Indoor Mark as the Men’s and Women’s teams dominated the field for the event.

The Oregon Ducks have two weeks to prepare for their next event of the Indoor Season. The Don Kirbe Elite Invitational is slated for February 10th and 11th in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
