The BYU Cougars are 21-9 on the season and have been to Eugene before. It will be their first regular season visit. Over the last few years they have been part of the four team pods sent to the Eugene Regional for the NCAA Softball Tournament, and could find themselves there again this year.

The Cougars come in as a ranked team, at 25. Oregon is the only undefeated team remaining in Division I and USA Softball has them as the number one team in the country entering the week. The Oregon Ducks lead the Nation in Scoring and Slugging percentage and are in the Top 10 in other key categories.

Starting Pitcher McKenna Bull is the one to watch for BYU. She was recently named WCC Pitcher of the Week and went 2-0 last week with a 1.40 Earned Run Average and 22 strikeouts.

The Cougars are looking to reverse a seven game losing streak in Eugene on Thursday evening. However, Mike White has the Oregon Softball team playing  at a different level this season. The team is 29-0 and rolling through Pac-12 play.

Danica Mercado and Alexis Mack lead four players hitting over .400. Nikki Udria leads the team with 32 Runs Batted In. On the mound Freshman Maggie Balint has been stellar. She picked up her latest win vs Utah last weekend. She has 13 wins on the year and a 0.99 ERA. The Ducks have a team ERA of 1.20 entering the weekend.
