With the Arizona Wildcats and the Oregon Ducks the reality does not match with the perception entering the offseason.

The Oregon Ducks had an amazing season on the Basketball Court getting past their second consecutive Elite Eight and making their first Final Four in 78 Years. Head Coach Dana Altman remains the only current Pac-12 Coach to make a Final Four, yet entering next season the Arizona Wildcats get all the credit. The credit for not getting to the Elite Eight in recent seasons.

Yet Sean Miller, who is already losing some of his talent to the NBA Draft is still the perception and the reality when it comes to the Pac-12 Conference. Over the last few seasons the Oregon Ducks have done enough to at least earn some credit and they have, but big bad Arizona is still at the top of the Pac-12 Mountain.

In looking way ahead even Joe Lunardi of ESPN has Arizona as a 1 Seed for the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Oregon is a 3 Seed.

With the Oregon Ducks we still do not know what the roster will look like next season. Last year both Dillon Brooks and Tyler Dorsey tested the NBA Waters. Both decided to return to the University of Oregon. I expect both will do the same again this year. Of course, that means we will not know much of anything until late May.

As long as a college player does not hire an agent they have the opportunity to have an NBA Experience and workout with a team. They have ten days before the NBA Draft to remove their name and return to school.
