Tennessee Titans Quarterback Marcus Mariota is entering an important season in the NFL and has Head Coach Mike Vrabel in his corner.

As the offseason winds down, Marcus Mariota spent time over the last few weeks working out with his Wide Receivers away from Tennessee. Head Coach Mike Vrabel still sees Mariota as the long term option despite struggles over the last few seasons.

Marcus Mariota is entering the fifth and final season of his rookie deal and a good season under center could mean a big payday for the former Oregon Football Quarterback. He has yet to play a complete season of NFL Football with the Titans. Head Coach Mike Vrabel has confidence in his Quarterback to have a solid season in 2019.

“Nobody is more proud of what Marcus has done in the offseason than me. He’s come back stronger, bigger, with greater understanding of what we’re doing offensively, being able to communicate it to players the field.”

The Tennessee Head Coach talked about Mariota’s demeanor on and off the field and said not having a long term contract may be a distraction to some, but not him or Mariota. He sees Marcus Mariota as the long term option at Quarterback for his team. When he looks at the percentage cap for signal-callers, Vrabel said the range for Mariota may be 7-10 years with Tennessee.

With Free Agency and what teams can and cannot control, I expect Mariota would like to remain with the Titans for that length of time. After all building team chemistry takes time. Mariota has spent every season with the Titans working with his teammates leading up to Training Camp.

His work ethic may be among the top Quarterbacks in the NFL entering this season.

Marcus Mariota is entering an important year in his NFL Career and with the team behind him, he may not have to go far to find motivation or success on the field. This should be the hope for the Tennessee Titans in 2019 as training camp and the season are quickly approaching.
