Oregon Sports Links: Women’s Volleyball Upsets Penn State’s 94-match Winning Streak

Today officially marks one week to go before Oregon and LSU take the field. Despite the tumultuous off-season this will be a huge game for both programs. It will also be a showcase for the rest of the nation to see if either team can live up to the hype. Before we get to that game and the buildup that is heating up exponentially I thought we’d take a look at what’s happening with some of the other Oregon sports programs. The Oregon women’s volleyball team upset a top-ranked Nittany Lions team 3 -1. Penn State had a record-breaking 94 match winning streak until they went up against the Ducks.

The Oregon Women’s Soccer team will host their home opener tomorrow against UNLV at Pape’ Field. They are coming off two wins at last week’s Boise State tournament. The Oregon women will also be pitted against LSU on Sept. 9th.
