Pac-12 Power Rankings
AutzenZoo.com Pac-12 Power Rankings Week 3
- Stanford: The Cardinals looked powerful again over the weekend decimating Arizona. Stanford only allowed the Wildcats to score in the 2nd quarter. Passing yards reigned supreme and in this game it was all about Luck.
- Oregon: The Ducks offense wants the nation to forget about LSU and they’re doing a great job. After dominating Nevada the Ducks kept heads on a swivel against Missouri State. Three scoring drives in under a minute each? If nothing else this could be the season for shattering Oregon records.
- Cal: A roughing up of Presbyterian won’t advance the Golden Bears in this list, but there weren’t signs in the Pac-12 they should drop either.
- Utah: This was a rivalry game for the Utes and they dominated BYU. With a bye week coming up next the Utes may prove to be a stronger opponent than previously thought in the Pac-12 this year.
- Arizona State: Pressure on QB Osweiler caused major problems for the Sun Devils this week. The Sun Devils need to focus on keeping their QB safe and with that they could be a major force in the Pac-12.
- Washington: The Huskies had their fall from grace this week. Revenge can be brutal and motivating for any team. Between mistakes and revenge it’s hard to win a football game.
- Arizona: Two top-10 ranked schools in the first three games? Ouch. It’s hard to tell just exactly what the Wildcats will do in the Pac-12 but there’s enough to show some promise.
- Washington State: This week the Cougs faltered a bit and their 61.5 point average just took a hit. The Cougars have shown definite signs of improvement but how far will that take them in Pac-12 play?
- Colorado: The Cougs beat UNLV soundly, the Buffs lose to Hawaii soundly and this week? UNLV beats Hawaii soundly.
- UCLA: The Bruins and UCLA can hammer out this spot next week. For now the Bruins seem to have a slightly shinier glimmer of hope.
- Oregon State: No play, no loss. We’ll see how it plays out between the Bruins and Beavers in Corvallis this weekend.
- USC: Power rankings assume power. USC just doesn’t have any power in the Pac-12 this year. They can shake a few things up, but ultimately they aren’t in the race this season.
