Men’s Tennis hosting Idaho

The No. 75 Oregon Ducks (2-0) will have a difficult matchup tomorrow at 4:00 PT against the No. 56 Idaho Vandals (2-1). The Ducks will be the home team and are coming off of a dominating display in a doubleheader against Portland State and Montana State. Jeff Mullen and Robin Cambier were unstoppable and picked apart PSU 8-2 and MSU 8-5 as a doubles team. Cambier and Mullen will face a much more difficult challenge tomorrow, as the Vandals already defeated the previous No. 75 tennis squad in the country on Sunday. It was a sloppy showing for Idaho, but they proved that they can still beat a No. 75 team on an off-day.

However, the Ducks were outstanding last Friday and did not lose a single match of the 18 they played in. Alex Rovello and Daniel Sardu played well, and Oregon will have to keep up the pace against a much better Idaho team. The Ducks have a fair shot at taking down the Vandals, and hopefully they can make some noise in their first game as an underdog this season and protect their home court.
