Chance Allen commits to Oregon
Wide receiver Chance Allen has been friends with Bralon Addison since they were kids, and they have both recently flipped from Big 12 teams to commit to the Oregon Ducks. The Ducks have already recruited four-star receiver Dwayne Stanford earlier, and they have one of the top wide receiver classes in the country. Allen is a solid, three-star recruit who is able to make plays in traffic with his 6’2″ frame. He isn’t a star by any means, but Allen is a decent top 125 receiver who is a solid addition to an already strong receiving core.
Allen is faster than most people think, but his main assets are his above-average athleticism and strength. He has the ability to be a good No. 3 option for the Ducks and move the chains. While Bralon Addison is the fast one who struggles in the red zone and with jump-balls, he is 5’10”, Chance Allen is a solid possession receiver who is capable of getting to the ball at its highest point.
The Oregon Ducks are snatching away recruits from historically significant schools, and the tides are turning in their favor. While Allen isn’t a household name, he will slot in and become a solid cog for the Ducks passing attack. This was another good pick-up for a Ducks team that is adding recruits at will.
