Michael Hutchings and Oregon Ducks Interest
This, from Scout.com, is the best news for Oregon Ducks fans this week. Linebacker Michael Hutchings is a bona-fide, five-star recruit who is definitely the best recruit in the West and is among the best in the 2013 recruiting class. Michael Hutchings has a high amount of interest in the Oregon Ducks, and the team obviously values him above all others. This is a perfect match, and the Ducks are in a prime position to snag one of the most heralded recruits.
Michael Hutchings is undoubtedly an impact player who is a top 20 recruit- at least- and is the best linebacker in the 2013 recruiting class. The best recruit in the state of California, Michael Hutchings is being heavily recruited by both the USC Trojans and the Oregon Ducks. That isn’t surprising, considering that both schools are the class of Pac-12 football at this point.
The OLB, who can also play safety, is viewed as a four-star recruit by both 247Sports and Rivals. However, Scout.com is much higher than them and view him as a five-star. Michigan, UCLA, and Notre Dame are three schools who are definitely in the mix for Hutchings, and all 17 schools interested in him have sent him offers.
Michael Hutchings may not be the fastest player on the field, but he is agile enough to get around blocks due to his lateral agility. He is a natural coverage player who is easily the best covering linebacker in this recruiting class, and Michael Hutchings hitting is top notch. He can smoke the ball-carrier with ease, and his long arms make it unfair for blockers. Simply put, he is a star in the making who is an incredibly talented recruit. The fact that he values the Ducks highly is just phenomenal for the team, and Hutchings is the recruit teams dream for.
