Dontre Wilson visiting Oregon

Top 150 running back recruit Dontre Wilson will visit the Oregon Ducks next week, and the four-star running back is a versatile player who definitely fits the label “All-Purpose Back”. Wilson is 5’10” with a 4.4 forty time and has offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, Missouri, LSU, Kansas State, Clemson, Colorado, Baylor, Auburn, Arkansas, and Arizona State. The Ducks, according to 247Sports, have already sent Dontre Wilson an offer.

Wilson will visit the campus next week, and hopefully he will be impressed by what goes on in Eugene. He is one of the best 15 running backs in the country and among the best 15 recruits in the state of Texas, so he is definitely an important player in the country. This running back prospect has been heavily targeted by the big schools in the Big 12 and SEC, so the Ducks are in for a battle.

They have recruited Texas backs in the past, most famously superstar back LaMichael James. Oregon can feasibly add Dontre Wilson into the mix, and they are among the front-runners with Texas, the Aggies, the Cowboys, and Notre Dame. We are one of the top places for recruits to go to, especially talented backs like Wilson. If he likes what he sees at his huge visit to Eugene, then the Ducks should be able to snap him up. I can’t wait for him to come to Oregon, and you can’t have too many talented backs; especially ones like Dontre Wilson.
