Mason Friedline and Oregon Ducks

Offensive line recruit Mason Friedline is a freak of nature, and the recruit out of Washington could be planning a visit with the Oregon Ducks. He can play at any position on the line and is 6’5″ and 278 pounds. However, his size isn’t the only appealing quality, because Mason Friedline is also a great runner who excels in the 400 meter.

The likely center could be planning a visit with the Oregon Ducks, but he doesn’t have much interest from the university yet. Right now, his biggest pursuer is Colorado, and they have extended Mason Friedline an offer. The top ten center recruit is one of the top five recruits in the state, but he is only rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports. None of the other major recruiting outlets have rated him, so it is safe to say that Friedline is mainly a solid recruit with uncanny endurance.

Harvard, Princeton, and Yale are all interested in Mason Friedline, so he is definitely a smart guy. Notre Dame, and conference teammates UCLA and Stanford also have interest in the athletic center. He would be a decent addition to the Ducks, and a visit would make things interesting. He has a 5.3 40 time, so the quick burst isn’t always there, and that’s the most important thing when looking at an offensive line recruit.

The interest is interesting, but I bet Mason Friedline ends up playing at an Ivy League school in 2013. The Ducks could be interested in recruiting him, and this is a situation to watch for.
