Jaynard Bostwick Recruiting Update
Four-star defensive tackle Jaynard Bostwick is one of the best 100 recruits in the nation and one of the top ten defensive tackle recruits in the country. The Oregon Ducks have interest in Bostwick, and he has listed the Ducks and Florida State as his two top teams. Now, this is huge for us, since Bostwick is one of the top recruits in the state of Florida and could be an impact player at a position of need when looking at the 2013 recruiting class. The Ducks are noticeably missing some talent on the interior of the defensive line, so adding Jaynard Bostwick would be huge.
The 6’4″, 270 pound star from Port Saint Lucie, Florida is being heavily recruited by Miami and has offers from them, FSU, and Notre Dame. Basically every college in Florida is going after Jaynard Bostwick, because he is THE guy in the south at DT. Heck, he might just be the best recruit in the state of Florida; and that’s saying something.
Neither Oregon nor Alabama have sent him offers, but both big schools do have interest in him. After all, Oregon is viewed as the favorite right now and Bama is the big school on the outside looking in.
Notre Dame, Florida, and Miami are the three schools that are going all out for Jaynard Bostwick, with Miami pretty much throwing everything into the race. Bostwick is just that good, and he had 95 tackles as a sophomore in high school. He plays the run extremely well and can disrupt running plays in the backfield with relative ease. Oregon is at the top of Bostwick’s list, and adding this talented recruit is definitely a priority for the Ducks.
