Devon Allen likes Ohio State
Four-star wide receiver recruit Devon Allen is one of the best recruits out of Arizona and stands at 6’1″, weighing in at 190 pounds. He received an offer from Ohio State at the end of last month and has a high level of interest in the Buckeyes. The Oregon Ducks are interested in the wide receiver who currently has offers from Arizona State and Arizona, as well as Arkansas.
One of the top 20 receivers in the country and top 110 players in the nation, Devon Allen would be a huge addition to any receiving corps and is one of the best five receivers out west. Allen has received 17 offers so far, with Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, UCLA, Stanford, and Washington having offered Devon Allen so far.
Most people are high on him as a recruit, with only 247Sports viewing him as lower than a four-star recruit. Michigan and Ohio State are two teams heavily recruiting the ESPN150 wide receiver, and the B1G is high on his ability. This is a legit receiving prospect with national appeal, and this can obviously be seen when looking at the teams that have offered him. Heck, even Colorado State, Duke, and Vanderbilt have extended offers to Devon Allen.
If you have a subscription to Rivals, then I would strongly suggest looking at a film study that the guys over there did on Devon Allen. You might even come away impressed. As with every big receiving/running back recruit out west, don’t rule the big powerhouse, the Oregon Ducks, out. Even though they have not offered Devon Allen, most players would love to play in their spread offense, especially recruits with western ties. We are the darkhorse in this race, with Ohio State being the favorites and the likely landing spot.
