D.J. Martin likes Oregon Ducks
Four-star running back D.J. Martin is one of the best backs in the country, and the Oregon Ducks and Alabama Crimson Tide are the two tops teams in the race for the talented back from California. He is one of the best ten recruits in the state, a top 15 RB recruit overall, and he is one of the best 125 players in the country.
D.J. Martin has a good center of gravity and the ability to use both strength and speed to gain yardage, so he has a great deal of potential if with the Oregon Ducks. ‘Bama has a crowded situation at running back and a slight disadvantage, although it looks like D.J. Martin is favoring the SEC powerhouse early on.
Georgia Tech, Tennessee, UCLA, and most recently Vanderbilt have all extended offers towards the talented running back who can be an impact player in college. It’s going to be a difficult battle with Alabama to snag this recruit, and the Ducks will definitely benefit if they do add D.J. Martin. He is undoubtedly one of the best recruits in the country and has the upside of a 1,000 yard rusher at some point, especially in the Ducks offensive system. The 2013 recruit has some grade issues, but his talent is undeniable, and he can get the touches in Oregon.
So remember to keep the name D.J. Martin in your head, because this is a recruit and player to watch out for going forward, especially if you are a Ducks- you are reading this site, after all- or an Alabama fan. If you are a Stanford or USC fan, then be sure to watch for this recruit as well, since your team has interest in D.J Martin. The big schools are going after this guy, and it’s always great to see a star running back listing Oregon at the top of his list along with an SEC powerhouse.
