2012 NIT Tournament Second Round Predictions

#1 Seton Hall over #5 UMass

To me, Seton Hall is an NCAA Tournament team and I believe they should be dancing this year. I know that their first round game against Stony Brook was close, but Seton Hall is a very good team. The only thing from that game that Seton Hall needs to fix is their rebounding, especially on the defensive end. UMass is a team that can make you pay if you give them extra chances as they showed against Mississippi St. Seton Hall, to me, will win this game because I feel they will force UMass to make turnovers that usually would not happen.

#3 Drexel over #7 Northern Iowa

Drexel got their NCAA Tournament bid ripped away by VCU and they clearly are still bitter. They came out swinging in their game against UCF and I do not expect anything else in their second round game of the NIT Tournament. The one thing Drexel did well in their first round game was shooting the three ball. If they can out shoot Northern Iowa from beyond the arc they will win. I am predicting this game to be a shooting war.
