Eddie Vanderdoes Recruiting Update

Four-star recruit Eddie Vanderdoes is one of the best five defensive tackles in the country and a top 25 prospect overall, and the Oregon Ducks and California Golden Bears are considered the two favorites in the race for the supremely talented ATH out of California. Utah, Missouri, and Oklahoma have recently submitted offers to Eddie Vanderdoes, and Utah is yet another Pac-12 team in the heat of the race. I view Cal as the likely destination for Vanderdoes, but the Ducks are also at the top of the list in my eyes. The Ducks, by the way, offered Eddie Vanderdoes on the 6th of March.

You really need to check out the impressive offers that this 6’4″, 285 pound star has accrued. Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan, Army, Boise State, Colorado, Georgia, Houston, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oregon State, Penn State, UCLA, Washington, and Washington State are among the many teams that have sent offers to Eddie Vanderdoes.

The scouts say that he has a quick first step and can shed blockers with his great strength to an almost inhuman degree. Eddie Vanderdoes shoves off blockers and penetrates the backfield at such a rate, that he is just a huge disruption to any offensive backfield. He is also a good pass rusher who loves to use his shoulder to pressure the QB. Vanderdoes has some great, refined pass rushing moves- especially his rip move. He works his way to the quarterback and is a steady source of pressure on the interior. Eddie Vanderdoes does it all and would be a terrific asset for the Oregon Ducks and any other team in college football.
