Luke MacLean likes Oregon
If it wasn’t official yet, then it was now; recruits that are not on the west coast have interest in playing for the Oregon Ducks. In fact, Michigan target Luke MacLean wants to visit the Oregon Ducks.
The three-star defensive end has visited both Michigan and Michigan State, and the two big Big Ten schools have a high level of interest in Luke MacLean and are the front-runners. However, that isn’t stopping the Grand Blanc defensive player from wanting to take a trip to Eugene, and he could be swayed to play there if the team is interested in the DE/LB.
Another prestigious Big Ten school, Iowa, wants the 6’4″, 235 pound member from the 2013 recruiting class to visit their school, and Luke MacLean currently has offers from Central Michigan (March 2nd), Buffalo, and Cincinnati. The touted Big Ten recruit also has interest from Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse; Big East and ACC squads are also lining up for Luke MacLean.
At this point, the only school in the Pac-12 with interest/a legitimate chance in adding Luke MacLean is the fast-growing Oregon Ducks, and they are in a good position to snag him over the likes of Michigan and Michigan State. He will most likely visit the school at some point- most likely next month- and could be a versatile, valuable addition to the front seven.
