The Oregon Ducks and Michigan State Spartans announced a home and home series beginning in 2014 for football.  The Spartans will travel west to Autzen Stadium in 2014 and the Ducks will play in Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, MI in 2015.  Both games will be played in September.  The teams last played in 1999 with Michigan State winning 27-20 in Michigan.

This past season Michigan State won the Legends Conference of the Big Ten Conference with a 7-1 record.  The team went 11-3 overall and ended their season with a triple overtime victory over Georgia in the 2012 Outback Bowl by a score of 33-30.

The Ducks won the North division of the Pac-12 Conference this past season with a 8-1 record.  The team went 12-2 overall and is coming off an exciting 45-38 victory in the Rose Bowl over fellow Big Ten member Wisconsin.

The series came about after West Virginia left the Big East to join the Big 12 Conference.  West Virginia was scheduled to have a home-and-home series with Michigan State but they asked out of the contract upon the move.
