#1 Kansas Final Four Win Over Ohio State

Mar 31, 2012; New Orleans, LA, USA; Ohio State Buckeyes guard Aaron Craft (4) reaches for a loose ball ahead of Kansas Jayhawks guard Tyshawn Taylor (10) during the second half in the semifinals of the 2012 NCAA men

In the second Final Four match-up on March 31st, Kansas was able to get past Ohio State in order to play Kentucky for the National Championship. To me, this was the most exciting game of the NCAA Tournament and was even more exciting than the National Championship game. Both Ohio State and Kansas had a feeling that they were over-looked. On one hand, Ohio State lost to Michigan State in the Big Ten Championship and seemed to have to live in Michigan State’s shadow. One the other hand, Kansas lost in the semifinals of the Big Twelve Tournament to Baylor. Kansas felt that they had the stuff to be a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Just because of this, I felt like both of these teams played as if they had something to prove and I believe the last few seconds of this game was the most exciting basketball of the 2012 NCAA Tournament. From the Arron Craft steal with 2:26 left to Tyshawn Taylor’s free throws to put Kansas up three with seven seconds left to Arron Crafts free throws with three seconds left, I was completely glued to the game the whole way. The main reason why I put this game at #1 on my list is the sole fact that both of these teams gave us their all and gave us a more exciting game than Kentucky and Kansas gave us.
