Josh Kaddu on Winning the Rose Bowl, NFL Future
By Brian Spaen
Our friend over at FanSided’s Reign of Troy, Trenise Ferreira, caught up with former Oregon cornerback Josh Kaddu recently.
During the interview, Ferreira asked some questions for us as Kaddu talked about his tremendous performance last season against the Colorado Buffaloes, how it felt to win the Rose Bowl, what he’s worked on during the offseason with the Miami Dolphins, and what NFL team he looks forward to playing against in his rookie year in the pros.
Autzen Zoo: In last year’s game against Colorado, you had a season-high 10 tackles and a career-high two sacks. What were you and the team able to find or exploit against Colorado’s line?
Josh Kaddu: “We just knew they weren’t going to be able to handle our speed so we just kept attacking and tackling from all angles.”
AZ: What was your first reaction when you finally won a BCS game against Wisconsin last season?
JK: “It felt good, it felt like all our hard walk had finally paid off. Just to end the season on top was a great feeling.”
AZ: What are some things that you worked on during the offseason to improve your game?
JK: “Just continued to improve in everything, getting stronger, faster, lifting more. I just worked on trying to get better all around, to improve it all.”
AZ: Which team are you most excited to play in the upcoming season?
JK: “It would probably be the SF 49ers because I will get to be back home in the Bay and everyone will get to come out and see me. So it will be a good thing for my family and friends to see me play.”
