Oregon Ducks Announce Women’s Basketball Schedule

The Oregon Ducks women’s basketball team announced their schedule for the 2012-2013 season today.  The Ducks will square off with 13 opponents who played in the postseason last year.  The Ducks begin competitive play on October 30^th with an exhibition game against Southern Oregon at Matthew Knight Arena.

Saint Mary’s opens up the season on November 11^th.  The team then heads to Hawaii for the Waikiki Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Showdown from November 23^rd through the 25^th.  The team will play games against Hawaii, Oklahoma and Arkansas in the tournament.

On the out-of-conference schedule, the biggest game will be held in Eugene against perennial powerhouse Connecticut on New Year’s Eve.  Pac-12 play begins right after the game with the Washington Huskies.  The UCLA Bruins will come to Eugene on January 4^th.

The Ducks and their fellow in-state rival, Oregon State, will match up twice in the span of three days in January.  The Beavers will make a visit on January 18^th and the teams will meet up again in Corvallis on the 20^th.

The Pac-12 Tournament will be played in Seattle, Washington, starting on March 7^th.
