The fourth week of the NFL’s preseason continued tonight with thirteen games with 27 former Oregon Ducks on the rosters – only the Bengals game against the Colts didn’t.  All teams need to cut their rosters down to 53 men by tomorrow night at 9:00 pm ET.  The NFL season opens up Wednesday, September 5th with the Cowboys taking on the Giants.

Jacksonville defeated Atlanta tonight by a score of 24-14 in a game featuring two former Oregon wide receivers.  D.J. Davis caught one pass for eleven yards for the Falcons.  Demetrius Williams had two catches for 19 yards in the win.  The Falcons open up the 2012 season in Kansas City next Sunday at 1:00 pm ET while the Jaguars will be in Minnesota to take on the Vikings the same day.

Philadelphia defeated the New York Jets 28-10. The only Duck on either roster is backup linebacker Casey Matthews for the Eagles.  Matthews did not play in the game but will be on the opening day roster.  The Eagles open up the regular season in Cleveland to take on the Browns on Sunday, September 9th at 1:00 pm ET.

Detroit defeated Buffalo 38-32 in a high scoring affair this evening.  The Bills had both former Ducks in this game.  Jairus Byrd had one tackle in the loss and Mark Asper played on the offensive line.  The Bills will be in New York to take on the Jets in their opener while the Lions open up at home against the Rams.

Defensive lineman Brandon Bair had a big game for the Chiefs in their 24-3 loss to the Packers.  Bair had four tackles with three of them being solo.  The Packers will play at home to start the regular season against the 49ers.

The Titans defeated the Saints 10-6 on Thursday night.  The only former Duck on either team is offensive tackle Fenuki Tupou.  Tupou is currently on injured reserve for the Saints.  Both the Saints and Titans start their regular seasons at home next Sunday.  The Saints host the Redskins while the Patriots visit the Titans.
