Oregon Ducks in the NFL: Week 7
The NFL’s week seven began on Thursday night with the Seahawks taking on the49ers in San Francisco. The 49ers won 13-6 in a game where four Oregon Ducks were on the rosters. Max Unger is the starting center in Seattle while Walter Thurmond is currently injured. LaMichael James and Will Tukuafu are both in the backfield for the 49ers but neither saw any action.

Three ex-Ducks were involved in the Texans 43-13 blowout of the Ravens yesterday afternoon. Haloti Ngata had one tackle while Ed Dickson had one catch for five yards on the Ravens side. Ra’Shon Harris plays on the interior line of the Texans but did not register any statistics in the game.
The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Arizona Cardinals by a touchdown yesterday. Former offensive linemen Geoff Schwartz and Mark Asper are on the Vikings roster as backup guards. Asper was inactive yesterday. Adam Snyder starts at right guard for the Cardinals who lost 21-14.
The Saints have won consecutive games for the first time this season beating the Bucs 35-28 in Tampa. Fenuki Tupou is currently on injured reserve for the Saints. LaGarrette Blount had a rough day for the Bucs carrying the ball five times for –two yards. He was targeted once on a throw but it fell incomplete.
Jonathan Stewart had thirteen touches in the Panthers 19-14 loss to the Cowboys. Stewart rushed the ball ten times for 55 yards. He also had three catches for eleven yards. The Panthers fell to 1-5 on the season.
Defenders Spencer Paysinger, T.J. Ward and Jairus Byrd were in game action yesterday afternoon. Paysinger had one tackle in the Giants 27-23 home win over the Redskins. Ward had seven tackles including five solo in the Browns 17-13 loss to the Colts. He added one pass defended. Byrd had six tackles with four of them being solo in the Bills 35-34 loss to the Titans.
Patrick Chung was inactive for the Patriots in their 29-26 overtime home victory against the Jets. Kellen Clemens did not see any action for the Rams in their 30-20 loss against the Packers. Clemens is the backup quarterback to Sam Bradford. In the Sunday night game, the Steelers defeated the Bengals 24-17 in Cincinnati. Tight end David Paulson contributed to the win with one catch for seven yards.
The Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears meet up for Monday night football in Chicago tonight to wrap up week seven. Matt Toeaina is listed as the backup nose tackle for the Bears on their depth chart.
