Leon McQuay III, a top five safety among most recruiting websites, has scheduled a visit for tomorrow (October 26th). The 6-foot-2, 184-pound safety from Seffner, Florida, made a visit to Vanderbilt back on October 12th. According to 247sports, he has two more scheduled visits to Michigan on November 9th and Florida State on November 23rd. Another school on his list of favorites that has made an offer, USC, hasn’t set an official visit date yet.
As of this time, no other schools seem to be in the running besides those five. He has 22 other offers; some notables include Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Other Pac-12 schools that have given him an offer are Stanford, UCLA, and Washington.
Among being a top five safety, McQuay is listed as 40th in ESPN’s Top 150, 18th in Rivals’ 100, and 34th in the Top247. He is also a top ten recruit in the state of Florida across the board on most recruiting websites. Here is a good two-minute feature on the five-star recruit:
McQuay will announce his decision during the Under Armour All-American Game on January 4th. Kickoff is at 2:00 p.m. PT and will be shown live on ESPN.
