Oregon Ducks in the NFL: Week 10
David Paulson is the lone Duck playing in tonight’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The game tonight will wrap up week ten of the NFL. 26 former Ducks were on NFL rosters this weekend including players on Injured Reserve and the practice squad.
The Houston Texans defeated the Chicago Bears on Sunday night by a score of 13-6 in Chicago. Defensive tackle Matt Toeaina was inactive for the Bears. The Texans have two Oregon alumni on their practice squad in wide receiver Jeff Maehl and safety Eddie Pleasant. The Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-23 in Philadelphia. Casey Matthews was active for the Eagles but did not record any stats.
The first tie in the NFL happened yesterday in a meeting between the San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams. The teams tied 24-24 through overtime. Kellen Clemens never entered the game for the Rams. Will Tukuofu was active for the 49ers but did not register any statistics. LaMichael James was inactive. Walter Thurmond came off the Injured Reserve list for the Seattle Seahawks but he was inactive in their 28-7 win over the New York Jets. Max Unger started at center in the win.
Spencer Paysinger recorded four tackles in the New York Giants loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals were able to win at home by a 31-13 score. Josh Kaddu was active for the Miami Dolphins but did not make the score sheet in their 37-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Geoff Schwartz is a backup guard for the Minnesota Vikings. They defeated the Detroit Lions yesterday 34-24. Fellow lineman Mark Asper is also on the Vikings roster but he was inactive.

Jairus Byrd had four tackles with three of them being solo during the Buffalo Bills 37-31 loss to the New England Patriots. Patrick Chung was inactive for the Pats. The New Orleans Saints handed the Atlanta Falcons their first loss of the season yesterday by a 31-27 score. Wide receiver Drew Davis was held without a catch but did get credit for one tackle. Fenuki Tupou is currently on Injured Reserve for the Saints. LeGarrette Blount had one carry for three yards in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 34-24 victory over the San Diego Chargers in Tampa yesterday afternoon. Dante Rosario had one reception for eleven yards for the Chargers.
Three former Ducks are on the rosters of the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. Jonathan Stewart carried the ball eight times for 31 yards in the Panthers 36-14 loss. He added two catches for 23 yards. The Broncos carry running back Jeremiah Johnson and tackle Darrion Weems on the practice squad.
The Baltimore Ravens blew out the Oakland Raiders by a score of 55-20. Ed Dickson caught two passes for 59 yards for the Ravens. Haloti Ngata was active for Baltimore but did not register any stats during the win. The Raiders carry defensive lineman Brandon Bair on their practice squad.
