Pac-12 Football Recap – Week Eleven

Oregon is still unbeaten despite being a mash unit right now given all their current injuries. Stanford took out Oregon State setting up a Pac-North title game this weekend in Eugene. In the Pac-South UCLA and USC will meet at the Rose Bowl to settle that division.

In other news Arizona and Washington became bowl eligible with wins over Colorado and Utah. So after the weekend seven schools have reached the needed mark with Arizona State stuck on five and Utah at four wins with two games left.

Ka’Deem Carey rushed for 366 yards on 25 carries with five scores in Arizona’s 56-31 bowl clinching victory over Colorado.

Saturday, November 10
11 Oregon State Beavers (7-2, 5-2) 23 @ 14 Stanford Cardinal (8-2, 6-1) 27 – Both Oregon State losses have been on the road (at Washington and Stanford). For the Beavers they trailed 14-0 before scoring 23 unanswered points. The Cardinal got their comeback started with a 40-yard touchdown pass from Kevin Hogan to Stepfan Taylor then in the final five minutes got the go ahead score.

Colorado Buffaloes (1-9, 1-6) 31 @ Arizona Wildcats (6-4, 3-4) 56 – Colorado took a 10-7 lead to the second quarter before ‘Zona outscored them 49-21. On offense the ‘Cats punished the Buffs rolling up 574 yards with 438 coming on the ground. Ka’Deem Carey had 366 yards on 25 carries, reaching the endzone five times.

Arizona State Sun Devils (5-5, 3-4) 17 @ 19 Southern California Trojans (7-3, 5-3) 38 – The first half was a seesaw with both teams matching each other. ASU led 17-14 before USC closed with a 24-0 run to end the game. Marqise Lee continues to to put his name in the Heisman conversation with 10 catches for 161 yards with a TD and rushed six times for 66 yards.

3 Oregon Ducks (10-0, 7-0) 59 @ California Golden Bears (3-8, 2-6) 17 – Duck doubters will point to the fact that Oregon was tied and led by seven points in the third quarter. The doubt in this game was injuries to Kenjon Barner and Marcus Mariota who both left the game. Mariota did come back scoring six touchdowns going 27-of-34 for 377 yards, Bryan Bennett also threw a TD on his only completion.

Utah Utes (4-6, 2-5) 15 @ Washington Huskies (6-4, 4-3) 34 – Utah led 8-0 after the opening quarter then was outscored 34-7. See a theme on Saturday? Points came in bunches and this one was no different. Keith Price was 24-for-33 for 277 yards with two touchdown passes.

18 UCLA Bruins (8-2, 5-2) 44 @ Washington State Cougars (2-8, 0-7) 36 – After being tied at seven, UCLA scored 30 unanswered points to take a 37-7 lead a half. Wazzu scored the last 22 points to get within a score with 1:31 left. Brett Hundley was an efficient 18-of-21 for 261 yards with three passing TDs.
