Pac-12 Football Recap: Week Fourteen

We had a conference championship and make-up game this weekend. Stanford hosted UCLA in Palo Alto while Oregon State hosted Nicholls State. We also learned where Pac-12 teams will be bowling this holiday and the conference getting two teams in the BCS.

Friday, November 30
16 UCLA Bruins (9-4, 6-4) 24 @ 8 Stanford Cardinal (11-2, 9-1) 27 – Kevin Hogan took down another ranked team in his fifth start on the Farm, he also accomplished what Andrew Luck couldn’t. This was a back and forth game unlike last week’s season finale in Pasadena. Stanford clinched their first Rose Bowl Game berth since 2000 by outscoring UCLA 10-0 in the forth with the winning points coming when Jordan Williamson made a 36-yard field goal. In the losing effort Bruins running back Johnathan Franklin had two TDs with 194 yards on 19 carries.
Saturday, December 1
Nicholls State Colonels (1-10, 1-7) 3 @ 15 Oregon State Beavers (9-3, 6-3) 77 – In a rematch of a game pushed back by a hurricane the Beavers unleashed the fury on the Colonels. Oregon State led 49-3 before Nicholls scored its only points of the game. Total yards were OSU 683 and NSU 223, Sean Mannion was 20-of-23 for 231 with two TD passes and Cody Vaz was 14-of-17 for 190 with three passing touchdowns.
