There were Oregon Ducks involved in every NFL game this weekend except for three. Some Ducks got their first playing time of the season while another got signed from the practice squad to an active roster. Week 14 of the NFL season began on Thursday night when the Denver Broncos beat the Oakland Raiders 26-13. Jeremiah Johnson is on the practice squad of the Broncos while Brandon Bair is on the Raiders practice squad.
Drew Davis caught one pass for six yards as the Atlanta Falcons lost to the Carolina Panthers by a score of 30-20. Jonathan Stewart was inactive for the Panthers. LeGarrette Blount carried the ball once for two yards in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-21 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Casey Matthews did not record any stats for the Eagles.
The Washington Redskins defeated the Baltimore Ravens in overtime 31-28 yesterday afternoon. Haloti Ngata had five tackles and two quarterback hits in the defeat. Ed Dickson was active but did not have any catches while Dennis Dixon is on the practice squad.
The San Diego Chargers upset the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday by a 34-24 score. Dante Rosario did not catch a pass for the Chargers but he was targeted once. David Paulson was not targeted by the Steelers. T.J. Ward had four tackles and one pass defended for the Cleveland Browns as they blew out the Kansas City Chiefs 30-7.
Matt Toeaina was active for the first time this season as the Chicago Bears lost to the Minnesota Vikings 21-14. Toeaina had one tackle. Geoff Schwartz was active for the Vikings while Mark Asper was inactive. Darrion Weems was claimed off the Broncos practice squad and is now on the 53-man roster for the Dallas Cowboys. Weems was inactive in the Cowboys last-second 20-19 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Jairus Byrd had five tackles in a losing effort as the Buffalo Bills lost to the St. Louis Rams 15-12 at home. Kellen Clemens did not see any playing time for the Rams. Spencer Paysinger had three tackles in the New York Giants dismantling of the New Orleans Saints. The Giants won 52-27. Fenuki Tupou is on the injured reserve list for the Saints.

LaMichael James saw his first action of the season in the San Francisco 49ers 27-13 over the visiting Miami Dolphins. James carried the ball eight times for 30 yards, caught one pass for 15 yards and returned three kickoffs for 79 yards. Will Tukuafu contributed one tackle in the win. Josh Kaddu was inactive for the Dolphins.
The Seattle Seahawks shut out the Arizona Cardinals by a 58-0 score. Walter Thurmond made three tackles and one tackle-for-loss for the Seahawks while Max Unger started at center. Lavasier Tuinei is on the Seattle practice squad. Adam Snyder is a starting guard for the Cardinals.
Tonight the Houston Texans travel to New England to take on the Patriots in a big AFC matchup. Jeff Maehl and Eddie Pleasant are on the practice squad for Texans. Patrick Chung plays in the secondary for the Patriots.
