Oregon Ducks At a Glance: Softball Starts 4-2, Hasay’s 5000m in Seattle

This past weekend’s Glance begins in Michigan with Softball, Track and Field in Seattle and Fayetteville and Baseball Set to Begin the Season Friday in Honolulu.

Oregon Softball off to a Solid Start:

Oregon Senior Jessica Moore is 3-1 on the 2013 season after a weekend at the Kajikawa Classic in Michigan. The Ducks started the 4 day tournament by beating Western Michigan 8-0, then split games on Saturday and Sunday. The #5 Ranked team in the country won games vs Stephen F. Austin, San Jose State Boise State and lost games to #14 Florida and #2 Oklahoma.

Oregon(4-2) now heads to Las Vegas for the Easton Desert Classic to face off against Ohio, Long Beach State, Louisiana Monroe, Hawai’i and Cal State Fullerton This Weekend Feb 15th and 16th.

Oregon Track and Field with a Big Weekend in Seattle and Fayetteville:

Jordan Hasay headlines the story of the weekend after taking the 5000 meters of the 2013 Indoor season crossing the line at 15:46:30. She finished 5 seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Other Ducks shined throughout the weekend in both Seattle and Fayetteville, Arkansas at the split meet.

Oregon Baseball Gearing up for 2013, Ranked #13 by Athlon Sports

The Ducks kick off the season ranked #13 by Athlon Sports. Several Pac 12 Teams rank ahead of the Ducks including the Pac 12 Coaches Preseason pick Stanford at #7 and Oregon State at #2. Other Pac 12 Teams making the poll are Arizona at #14, and Arizona State at #19.

Oregon kicks off their 2013 season this weekend with a series vs Hawai’i in Honolulu.
