The first-team All-American and two-time first-team Pac-12 all-conference choice has been projected to be drafted in the first round, with live coverage to be aired by ESPN and the NFL Network beginning at 3 p.m. (PDT) Thursday, April 25. The second and third rounds will continue on Friday, April 26, beginning at 3:30 p.m., followed by rounds four through seven beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 27.
Running back Jonathan Stewart was the latest former Oregon player to be drafted in the opening round of the NFL Draft in 2008 by Carolina. Haloti Ngata was the Ducks’ only defensive lineman to previously be chosen in the first round, with Baltimore taking the NFL All Pro with the 12th pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.
Jordan completed his senior season tallying 44 tackles, including 10.5 tackles for loss and 5.0 quarterback sacks. In 2011, Jordan ranked fifth in the Pac-12 in quarterback sacks (7.5) and seventh in TFLs (13).
He has been projected by many NFL Draft prognosticators to be among the first defensive ends/outside linebackers to be taken in this year’s draft.
The other lone Pac 12 Player invited to the NFL Draft, as an attendee is Desmond Trufant from the Washington Huskies.
