Oregon Softball is having quite the season. Entering into the doubleheader on Wednesday against Seattle, the Ducks were unbeaten at home in 11 games. That trend would continue to 13.
The Ducks Freshman Pitcher Cheridan Hawkins pitched her second no hitter of the year and stuck out 17 Redhawks of the 21 she faced in 7 innings.
"“I felt really good. I kinda knew it was happening, but didn’t ask anybody because I felt a little pressure on my own already. The team played great defense and hit the ball well, too. We’ve been taking it day by day, one game at a time, so that’s how I approached today, too. We had a few bumps here and there but came around eventually.”Oregon Pitcher Cheridan Hawkins on her 2nd No Hitter of the year"
Samantha Pappas and Kaylan Howard came through with hits for the Ducks in the 4-0 victory in Game 1 of the Doubleheader.
