Oregon Baseball: Ducks Lose Civil War Weekend at PK Park

Oregon was only able to win one game vs Oregon State over the weekend in the Civil War series at PK Park. Earlier in the season Oregon took two from Oregon State and will play at OSU Tuesday, with a win, they will take the season series vs the Beavers.

The Ducks travel to Oregon State on Tuesday and wrap up the regular season this weekend at Utah.

EUGENE, Ore. – No. 4 Oregon State jumped on No. 6 Oregon early with seven runs in the first three innings and then cruised to a 12-2 Pac-12 Conference win on Sunday at PK Park.

Michael Conforto went 3-for-5 with six RBI, including a two-out grand slam in the second inning of Oregon starter Jake Reed, to lead Oregon State (43-19, 22-5 Pac-12). Reed (6-4) took the loss for the Ducks allowing seven runs, two earned, in 2.2 innings. Ben Wetzler (7-1) got the win for OSU allowing two runs, one earned, in 6.1 innings.

Scott Heineman led Oregon going 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Tyler Baumgartner was 1-for-4 and drove in a run.

Oregon (43-13, 20-7 Pac-12) visits Oregon State Tuesday and can clinch the season series with a win over the Beavers. The Ducks won the first two meetings before OSU bounced back winning the second two between the teams.
