With Oregon Baseball’s season now over finishing with a new record for wins, but disappointment with not moving onto the Super Regional next week and Oregon Softball’s season now also complete we focus on what Oregon is known for.

Track and Field and a chance for the Ducks to shine and show their talents off against colleges throughout the country.

A big time Track and Field Event comes to Hayward  Field this week with schools from all over the country participating and ESPN has a look at Defenders who like to intercept Quarterback passes in this week’s LinkedUp.

The NCAA Track and Field Championships are upon us, saw several from the Purdue contingent walking around the Mo Center yesterday afternoon. It looks like the weather, and the pollen will both be cooperating this weekend. Local Eugene station KEZI had a nice layout of who to watch and what to look for during the Championships at Hayward Field.

ESPN is continuing to look at College Football it’s weekly Pac 12 blog. This week they are focusing on the Defense, specifically the playmakers who are likely to intercept a pass. There are several Oregon Ducks on the list including Safety Eric Dargan and Corner Ifo Ekpre-Olomu. One name that is not on the list and may be the difference maker this season for the Ducks is Avery Patterson, who is coming off a knee injury and surgery for 2013. We’ll see how he responds in the first few games of the season.
