DAT Watch: Oregon’s De’Anthony Thomas Among Those on Doak Walker Watch List

Another watch list has been released, this time for top running back in college football and De’Anthony Thomas from the Ducks is among those on it from the Pac 12. In State rivals, the Oregon State Beavers Storm Woods was also included on the list.

I wouldn’t call De’Anthony Thomas your ordinary running back, since he can also return punts (see Colorado 2012), and also catch the ball out of the backfield. He is an overall offensive threat with his patience and speed on the field.

Overall the Pac 12 had nine players on the Doak Walker Watch List.Arizona State’s Ka’Deem Carey and Silas Redd, formerly fromPennState– now a USC Trojan were also named to the list for the best back in the land.

The Top 10 finalists for the award will be announced on Thursday, November 14^th with the Top 3 finalists named on Monday November 25^th. The award will be presented at the Home Depot College Football Awards telecast on ESPN on Thursday December 12^th.
